Juniors Set For Trotters Test

Written by Newcastle Utd

Four youth internationals are included in the Newcastle under-18 squad named for Saturday's game at Bolton Wanderers

After last weekend's battling draw at West Ham, earned despite playing for most of the game with ten men, Newcastle's under-18s face another tough away trip on Saturday (kick-off 1pm).

Dave Watson's side take on Bolton Wanderers at the Trotters' Eddie Davies Football Academy in Lostock, with Olivier Kemen available despite his red card seven days earlier as his suspension has not yet started.

The France under-18 international midfielder is joined in the squad by England under-16 defender Kyle Cameron, England under-17 youngster Ben Drennan and Turkey under-17 winger Daniel Barlaser, while Jamaican teenager Rolando Aarons is also involved.

Macaulay Gillesphey played the full game as United's under-21s lost to Aston Villa in midweek, along with Cameron, while Kemen, Greg Olley and Callum Roberts also featured at Burton's Pirelli Stadium.

The squad is: Rolando Aarons, Daniel Barlaser, Kyle Cameron, Ben Drennan, Liam Gibson, Macaulay Gillesphey, Tom Heardman, Olivier Kemen, Joe Kerridge, Adam Laidler, Ryan McKinnon, Jonathan Mitchell, Greg Olley, Brendan Pearson, Callum Roberts, Jordan Storey.
