Newcastle United recorded their third victory over Chelsea in four meetings on Saturday, with an outstanding performance on Tyneside.

The Magpies ran out 2-0 winners thanks to second-half efforts from French pair Yoan Gouffran and Loic Remy.

Gouffran nodded home Yohan Cabaye's free-kick, before Remy swept in a Vurnon Anita cut-back with a minute remaining to put the result beyond any doubt.

And it was exactly what United deserved for a superb, attacking display in which Moussa Sissoko and Yohan Cabaye also threatened.

There were chances at the other end too, with John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic both striking the woodwork, and Eden Hazard, Willian and Samuel Eto'o all going close.
