Newcastle United's home Barclays Premier League fixture against Manchester City in January has been chosen for live broadcast.

Sky Sports has opted to show the Magpies' match against Manuel Pellegrini's side, which means a change in date for the game.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, 11th January, it will now take place on Sunday, 12th January, with a 2.05pm kick-off.

It will be the third time this season the sides have met live on television. City have taken the honours on the two previous occasions - the first coming on the opening weekend of the top flight campaign, before they clashed again recently in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup. Both games were screened on Sky Sports.
