Alan Pardew has consigned last season's heavy home defeat by Liverpool to the memory bank and insists Newcastle are in a "completely different place" this time

Manager Alan Pardew believes things at Newcastle United are very different to last April, when Saturday's opponents Liverpool won 6-0 at St. James' Park.
The result last season came on the back of a defeat to Sunderland and Pardew says the circumstances are not the same this time around.
"Psychologically it's a completely different place to where we were," the United boss said.
"We're in a much better place now and we'll give a better account of ourselves."
When questioned about last season's result, Pardew didn't seem fazed despite calling it "probably my heaviest defeat as a manager."
He said: "It's a game you don't ever want to experience but it happens sometimes in a season.
"You have to make sure it doesn't happen again and try to build yourself up."
Last season's result came on the back of that painful derby defeat while this year's game comes after a win against Cardiff.
A player that could provide the difference in the coming fixtures is Loic Remy, who returned from international duty this week hoping to continue the fantastic form he has shown so far this season.
Pardew said his contribution is "not only his goals but his all-around performance has been solid."
He added: "He's been a big player for us so far this season."
Liverpool also pose an attacking threat of their own, with Daniel Sturridge in fine form and Luis Suarez returning brilliantly after his long suspension.
Pardew agreed that there aren't many better strike forces in the league currently and stated that Liverpool "have got a really great attacking flair and the team is set out to score goals."
He added: "They're advertising this game as it won't be 0-0 - and I think they're probably right."
