Loan Watch: Richardson Makes A Point

Written by Newcastle Utd

Michael Richardson helped Accrington Stanley recorded only their third point of the season on Saturday

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Michael Richardson helped Accrington Stanley recorded only their third point of the season on Saturday.

The young Magpies' midfielder, who is on loan at League Two outfit Stanley until January, played the full 90 minutes as they recorded a 1-1 draw away at AFC Wimbledon.

It was Richardson's first start in a month for Accrington, who sit bottom of the table and six points from safety.

Elsewhere, matches involving United's loanees were few and far between due to the international break, with the likes of Dan Gosling (Blackpool), Conor Newton (St. Mirren) and Shane Ferguson (Birmingham) all without a club fixture.
