Loic Remy fired Newcastle back to winning ways with a brace in a 2-1 triumph away at Cardiff on Saturday.

The French striker netted a quickfire, first-half double in South Wales to hand the Magpies three Premier League points and lift them back into midtable.

United dominated for long spells, with Papiss Cisse, Remy, Moussa Sissoko and Yohan Cabaye all denied by Bluebirds' goalkeeper David Marshall.

An entertaining affair at the Cardiff City Stadium saw Peter Odemwingie pull one back midway through the second period, but Newcastle held on for another away-day victory.
