Having completed a loan move to Blackpool on Friday, Dan Gosling made his Tangerines debut just over 24 hours later.

The midfielder appeared as a 74th minute substitute as Paul Ince's side drew 0-0 with Charlton Athletic on Saturday.

On Friday, Romain Amalfitano had played in a goalless draw too as Dijon were held by Le Havre. The Newcastle man completed the whole game.

Conor Newton was involved in both goals as St. Mirren claimed their first win of the campaign with a 2-0 success at Hearts in the Scottish Premier League, while Steven Logan played 90 minutes as Annan Athletic drew 0-0 with Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup.

Shane Ferguson and Michael Richardson were unused substitutes for Birmingham and Accrington respectively while, on Sunday, Mehdi Abeid watched from the bench as Panathinaikos lost 2-1 to PAOK.
