Alan Pardew believes home advantage could prove invaluable to Newcastle after they were paired against Manchester City in the Capital One Cup fourth round

Alan Pardew admitted that next month's Capital One Cup fourth round clash with Manchester City will be a "tough game" - but insisted that home advantage could be crucial to his Magpies side.
The Newcastle manager spoke to nufcTV moments after the draw was made following Wednesday night's 2-0 win over Leeds United.
And while he knows only too well how good the Blues can be on their day after United lost 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium in their opening match of the season, he is hopeful that the Toon Army can swing the balance in favour of the black and whites.
"It's a tough game," he said. "I think they showed against us and against Man United that when they turn the heat up, they're difficult to live with.
"But our fans can make a difference here.
"When they're at home and it's all going well, they look like a really good side but we've got to cause them problems and our fans can make a difference.
"And hopefully we can give them a tough night when it comes up."
Pardew was pleased with the manner of Wednesday night's victory, which came thanks to goals from Papiss Cisse and Yoan Gouffran.
"It was an impressive display because we had control of the game all through the 90 minutes, which we didn't have against Hull," he said.
"I'm still smarting from that but it was great to see the reaction. It was spot on and we need to take that into Monday night now."
