Vurnon Anita

After two Barclays Premier League wins in a row, Vurnon Anita has challenged his Newcastle team-mates to make it three when Hull come to St. James' Park on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).

Fulham were beaten thanks to Hatem Ben Arfa's thunderbolt in United's last home game before Aston Villa were seen off last weekend.

Holland international Anita played a key role in both victories and is likely to keep his place against the Tigers despite facing strong competition from Cheick Tiote in particular.

And he told nufcTV: "It's two wins in a row, so that's good - now let's keep on winning.

"We will work hard this week again, analyse them and bring our best performance on the pitch."

At Villa Park, Alan Pardew adopted an exciting attacking formation which saw Loic Remy and Hatem Ben Arfa play either side of main striker Papiss Cisse.

They were supported by Anita, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sissoko in the engine room and the Dutchman enjoyed playing in the system.

"We had a lot of the ball and you can play then, and that's my strength," he said.

"Of course - as a player, you always want to play and this year I've played more so let's keep it this way."

Last year, in his first season in English football following his move from Ajax, Anita struggled to earn a regular place in the team and admitted: "It was a different adjustment.

"I had things to learn and I hope to show it this year."
