Loan Watch: Ferguson Left Feeling Blue

Written by Newcastle Utd

Shane Ferguson started but his Birmingham side were beaten by Burnley on Tuesday night

By Dan King - Newcastle United Digital Editor

Shane Ferguson was back in the starting line-up for Birmingham on Tuesday night, but Lee Clark's men were beaten 3-0 by Burnley.

The 22-year-old had been on the bench for City's last two games but started at Turf Moor as the Blues went in search of their first win since August.

However, he was substituted after 49 minutes with his side 2-0 down and Danny Ings added the third five minutes later.

Birmingham are now in 21st place in the Championship and they host Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
