Curtis Good makes his Newcastle United debut as the Magpies travel to Morecambe in the second round of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night (7.45pm kick-off).
The Australian central defender, who captains the Club's Under-21 side, arrived from Melbourne Heart last summer before spending time out on loan at Bradford City.
But Good, aged 20, will now be given his first team bow as United look to progress to the next round of the competition.
He is one of eight changes made by Newcastle boss Alan Pardew from Saturday's goalless draw with West Ham, with only Mathieu Debuchy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and Sylvain Marveaux surviving.
In a 4-2-3-1 formation, goalkeeper Rob Elliot will be protected by a back four of Debuchy, captain-for-the-night Yanga-Mbiwa, Good and Paul Dummett.
Gael Bigirimana and Dan Gosling will anchor the visitors' midfield, with Sammy Ameobi, Haris Vuckic and Marveaux just ahead of them, supplying the ammunition for lone striker Yoan Gouffran.
On the substitutes' bench, Newcastle have experience in the shape of Shola Ameobi, Hatem Ben Arfa, Vurnon Anita, Davide Santon and Moussa Sissoko, and they are joined by youngsters Jak Alnwick and Remie Streete.
