Bradden Inman has joined League One side Crewe Alexandra from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee

Midfielder Bradden Inman has completed a move to League One side Crewe Alexandra.

The Australia-born 21-year-old's Newcastle contract expired in the summer but, as he was offered a new one by the Magpies in the summer, United are entitled to compensation for their role in his development.

An undisclosed fee has now been agreed and Inman has signed a three-year deal with the team he spent most of last season on loan with.

He helped them to lift the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Wembley and scored eight goals in 26 appearances for the Railwaymen.

Crewe boss Steve Davis told his club's official website: "We are delighted to have completed the signing of Brad. It is a transfer that we have had to work hard on and the club deserve great credit for the signing.

"He will be a great asset for the club and he deserves great credit for turning down Newcastle's offer and going into the lower leagues to play regular football. I'm sure there are not many 21-year-olds who could turn down a Premier League club for the bigger picture."
