Taylor Makes Home Visit To Lucky Fan

Written by Newcastle Utd

Steven Taylor shocked lucky fan Nicola Spring by delivering two season tickets to her home after she won a competition with Club sponsors wonga.com

A Newcastle United fan has received a surprise home visit from defender Steven Taylor after winning two season tickets courtesy of Club sponsors Wonga.com.

Nicola Spring from Denton Burn entered a competition online with Wonga to celebrate the release of 2013/14 Barclays Premier League fixtures and will now be in place at St. James' Park for the Magpies' first home fixture of the season against West Ham United on Saturday.

Expecting the season tickets to arrive in the post, Nicola was at home with son Matthew, who will be joining her at the game, nephew Jake and members of her family when their famous visitor knocked at the door to present the season tickets and pop in for a cup of tea.

Nicola said: "I'm still in shock. I've never won a competition before so I was just happy that I'd received a phone call telling me I'd won the season tickets.

"It's great that Steven has come here to deliver them and the boys have loved meeting him. We can't wait for the game."
