Papiss Cisse scored for Senegal in Saturday's 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw against Angola.

The Newcastle man headed his side in front after 23 minutes but Afonso Guilherme equalised, with Cisse substituted deep into stoppage time.

As a result, Senegal are top of their group and so too are Cheick Tiote's Ivory Coast after they won 3-0 win in Gambia.

Tiote played the whole match and was booked. However, Fabricio Coloccini was not involved as Argentina drew 0-0 with Colombia in Buenos Aires.

On Sunday evening, Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy both started for France as they took on Brazil in a friendly, but were on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat.

Debuchy played for the full 90 minutes while Cabaye was replaced eight minutes from time.

Meanwhile, at under-19 level, Brandon Miele and Lubo Satka came up against each other on Saturday as the Republic of Ireland faced Slovakia in a European Championships qualifier.

With Satka playing the whole game for Slovakia and Miele involved for 62 minutes, Ireland took the lead before Slovakia equalised and then took a 90th minute lead. But a last gasp equaliser meant the spoils were shared in a 2-2 draw.
