Work is well underway on returning the Gallowgate End to its former glory, thanks to new Club sponsors Wonga.com.
Following the start of their sponsorship deal, which officially began on Monday, the digital finance company set about removing the existing Sports Direct logo, which has spanned the giant roof space for the last few years.
Already some of the letters have been painted over by local Dunston-based company Just Signs and Lighting Ltd,, with the whole area due to return to its traditional grey colour in time for the start of the 2013/14 campaign.
