Conor Newton scored in the final appearance of a successful loan spell with St. Mirren, while Paul Dummett also signed off in style

Conor Newton and Paul Dummett made the final appearance of their highly successful loan spell with St. Mirren on Saturday - and Newton signed off with a goal.
The flame-haired midfielder was already a fans' favourite in Paisley after scoring the winning goal in this season's Scottish League Cup final success against Hearts and finished with a flourish at Kilmarnock.
He netted the third in a 3-1 win for the Buddies on the last day of the season at Rugby Park, having already crossed for John McGinn to volley home the opener.
Kris Boyd levelled for the home side but Paul McGowan netted from the spot before the impressive Newton jinked into the box and shot under Cammy Bell.
It was his 19th appearance for the Saints and his third goal following his January arrival while Dummett - who initially signed in August before rejoining the club in January after making his first-team bow for Newcastle against Brighton in the FA Cup - ended up with 35 appearances and two goals.
Meanwhile on Sunday, Mehdi Abeid was fit enough for a place on the St. Johnstone bench as they hosted Motherwell.
He was a 69th minute replacement for Rowan Vine as the Perth outfit won 2-0 to finish third in the Scottish Premier League and qualify for the Europa League qualifying rounds.
