Rob Elliot is no stranger to bright kits, and the goalkeeper is already a big fan of United's new away strip for the 2013/14 campaign.
Next season's change offering from PUMA was unveiled on Wednesday night and can be ordered now from www.nufcdirect.com or purchased by heading in to one of the official club stores.
As Elliot pulled on the bright blue keeper's jersey for the first time, he admitted a sense of excitement and was pleased with what the major sports manufacturer has produced.
"It's really nice," Elliot told nufc.co.uk.
"When it comes to the start of the season it's nice to pull on a new shirt and one that you enjoy wearing.
"You turn back into a kid. Everyone is sat around the dressing room discussing whether they like it, and this is one that has got a very positive reaction.
"It's very bright, but to stand out as a goalkeeper isn't a bad thing. Sometimes that can help put strikers off. If it has any sort of effect, then great.
"Believe it or not, I wore a complete bright orange kit for Charlton, so I'm used to these kind, and it didn't do me any harm back then. I'm really looking forward to wearing it next season."
