Newcastle are looking to make it seven Barclays Under-21 Premier League games without defeat when they host Norwich City

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Willie Donachie and Peter Beardsley's under-21 side look to extend their unbeaten run to seven Barclays Under-21 Premier League matches when they take on Norwich City at Whitley Park on Monday (kick-off 1pm).

Since a 3-0 defeat to Reading in January, Newcastle's second-string have won twice and drawn four times, the latest coming away to Bolton last Thursday when Romain Amalfitano's late penalty earned them a point.

The Frenchman is the only player with senior experience in the Magpies squad against the Canaries, who United beat 6-0 in this fixture last season.

Yven Moyo scored his first goal for the Club on that day in September 2011 and the Congolese wideman will be looking to continue his recent good form. Michael Richardson was also on target last term and he too is named in the squad this time around.

Swiss youngster Kevin Mbabu could make his home debut for Newcastle while Norwich are likely to include several of the youngsters who have helped them reach the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup.

The game is open to the public and season ticket holders and Members receive free entry.

The Newcastle squad is: Rolando Aarons, Jak Alnwick, Romain Amalfitano, Lee Desmond, Alex Gilliead, Curtis Good, Alex Kitchen, Steven Logan, Kevin Mbabu, Brandon Miele, Jonathan Mitchell, Yven Moyo, Alex Nicholson, Jonathyn Quinn, Michael Richardson, Lubo Satka.
