Fan's Cisse Snap Goes Global

We spoke with the supporter who captured an iconic snap of Papiss Cisse celebrating Sunday's winner
The fan behind the iconic photograph of Papiss Cissé leaping into the Gallowgate after scoring a late winner against Fulham has spoken exclusively to nufc.co.uk about the thrilling moment he captured the striker's celebrations.
Jonathan Robson, aged 20, from South Shields, was in the South-West corner of stadium as Cissé's strike sent St. James' Park wild, before the Senegalese star began wheeling away in his direction.
And luckily for the BT call advisor, he was ready and poised with his iPhone just in time to take the stunning shot.
"It was a fantastic moment," Jonathan explained.
"I didn't expect the players to be coming over but when I saw them I started pressing. It was taken on my iPhone - a normal camera phone. I was really surprised with the quality.
"I took about 15 photos at that very moment just in case we scored and it turned out to be the best one. I usually sit in the Gallowgate towards the East corner but the ground was almost full so I couldn't get a ticket anywhere else.
"It was pure luck that I was in the right place at the right time.
"It's probably one of my favourite all time moments supporting the Club because of the magnitude of the win."
Jonathan quickly uploaded the snap to his Twitter account after the match and was amazed just hours later to see it spreading globally across the social networking site; a number of big names including current BBC Match of the Day host Gary Lineker helping it along by retweeting the photograph.
Now, after the image was used by the Daily Mail and a range of other sports outlets, Jonathan has admitted his is still a little shocked but wouldn't mind a career as a photographer.
"I never thought it would go that big," he revealed.
"It was very surprising. I only had about 65 followers on Twitter but after a lot of former players had retweeted it, it's shot up.
"I've always loved photography. If there's anything out of the ordinary, I always try to capture it so you never know!"
The Club is now inviting fans to share their Newcastle United-related photos via the official Twitter account, @NUFCOfficial.
A monthly winner - picked by Newcastle United Club Photographer Ian Horrocks - will have their photo displayed in the St. James' Park media suite, which is used by reporters and photographers from around the world.
