Bradden Inman scored his second goal of the Easter weekend as Crewe Alexandra beat Preston North End on Monday.
The Australian ace, who marked his return from an ankle injury with a fine strike on his comeback against Bury on Friday, got the only goal of the game from the edge of the area in the 32nd minute.
It was an eighth goal of the campaign for the 21-year-old, who joined the Railwaymen on loan in November having already bagged seven for Newcastle in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League.
And Preston will be glad they don't have to face in-form Inman again this season - his first goal for Alex also came against them back in December.
With Crewe contesting the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Southend at Wembley next Sunday, Inman came off after 72 minutes.
Shane Ferguson played the full 90 minutes for Birmingham in their Midlands derby against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but Lee Clark's men lost 3-2 at St. Andrew's.
On Monday evening, Mehdi Abeid came on in the 88th minute as St. Johnstone drew with Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League.
And it was from his corner that Liam Craig headed home to ensure a top six finish for the Perth outfit.
