Steven Taylor still awaits his first full cap for England as he watched the Three Lions' 8-0 win over San Marino from the bench on Friday night.

Roy Hodgson's side went goal crazy in the World Cup qualifier but the Newcastle defender was an unused substitute.

Shane Ferguson also saw no action on Friday as Northern Ireland's home game against Russia was postponed due to snow, and the pitch was still not playable on Saturday as ice formed on the pitch.

Yohan Cabaye was an unused substitute for France in their 3-1 win over Georgia, while Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa was left out all together, but Moussa Sissoko was a 67th substitute for Les Bleus.

At under-21 level, Alex Nicholson was an unused substitute as Wales beat Moldova 1-0 while in a friendly match Lubo Satka impressed for Slovakia's under-19 team in a 1-1 draw with Malaysia's under-23 side.

On Saturday, meanwhile, Cheick Tiote's Ivory Coast remained top of their qualifying group with a 3-0 victory over Gambia. The Newcastle man played the whole game.

Papiss Cisse was a 77th minute replacement for Demba Ba in Senegal's 1-1 draw with Angola.

Alex Gilliead was a 61st minute replacement for goalscorer Alex Kiwomya and England under-17s kicked off their European Championship Elite qualifying campaign with a 1-0 win over Portugal.

The match was played at St. George's Park due to Walsall's Banks's Stadium being unplayable. Freddie Woodman was an unused substitute.
