Written by Newcastle Utd

By Anthony Marshall - Newcastle United Managing Editor

Next month's Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland at St. James' Park has been moved back a day due to Newcastle United's progression into the last eight of the Europa League, it has been confirmed.

With the Magpies facing Benfica on Thursday 11th April, in the second leg of their quarter-final tie, it had been expected that the local derby - scheduled for two days later - would be moved.

And it has now been agreed that the fixture will take place on Sunday, 14th April with a noon kick-off. The match will remain live on Sky Sports.

Ticket information for the fixture will be announced on nufc.co.uk in due course.
