Newcastle United entertain Southampton on Sunday at St. James' Park in the Barclays Premier League.
The Magpies have drawn just one of their last 18 home matches and, despite a relatively slow season, have won six of their 13 home games. This improves to 12 victories in 19 home games against bottom-half teams since the start of last season.
Southampton have been in decent form, but they have trailed at the break in four of their last six away games. Given that Newcastle have won 11 of 13 home games after a half-time lead, the home triumph looks decent value at 2.20.
Goals look likely here as United have seen three goals or more in nine of 13 home games this season, while Southampton have had at least four goals in eight of their 13 away matches.
Both teams to score looks a banker at 1.67, as this has happened in 10 of 13 away games for Southampton. In addition, the Saints have kept just one clean sheet away all season, but have scored in all but two of those games.
Newcastle have scored first in eight of their 13 home games, while Southampton have conceded first in eight of 13 away games. Papiss Cisse looks the best bet to grab the first goal at 5.50, with Shola Ameobi available at 7.00.
