Jonas Gutierrez believes United's January additions will aid their Premier League cause and help the Club's young players

Jonas Gutierrez was delighted to see United's squad bolstered last month, believing it will help take the pressure off the next generation of the Club's stars.
With a number of injuries to key players during the first half of the season, Magpies manager Alan Pardew was forced to use youngsters like Gael Bigirimana, Shane Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi among others, who performed admirably during a tough few months on Tyneside.
But when Mathieu Debuchy, Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Massadio Haidara, Yoan Gouffran and Moussa Sissoko all came through the door at St. James' Park during January, it gave Newcastle a vital boost of experience.
And Gutierrez believes that will be good for the future, as United bid to climb towards midtable in the Premier League.
"It's really good to have a bigger squad, because that was a problem earlier in the season," the Argentine wide man told nufc.co.uk.
"It has been hard for us because we had a lot of injuries but not a lot of players.
"The players who had to play were maybe from the reserves and are young players. They are very talented but it is not fair on them just to be in there as Premier League regulars just yet when they are so young. They should be doing that in a few years.
"Now we have more players and are picking up good results again and that has given everyone a big lift."
