By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Four young players have left Newcastle United by mutual consent, the Club has confirmed.

Teenagers Marcus Maddison, Michael Riley, JJ Hooper and Dennis Knight were all part of last season's Premier Academy League Group D title-winning team and had been involved at under-21 level.

Maddison and Riley had youth loan spells with Blyth Spartans earlier this season while Hooper has been with Darlington and Workington.

Winger Maddison, left-back Riley, forward Hooper and midfielder Knight are now all free to join other clubs.

The Club wishes them well for the future.
