Crewe Alexandra's recent good form continued on New Year's Day with a 1-0 victory over Carlisle United, with Bradden Inman playing for 85 minutes.
The Australian youngster was playing the final game of his current loan spell, which has yielded three goals and four wins in five League One appearances, and it has yet to be confirmed if he will be extending his stay at Gresty Road.
Alex boss Steve Davis will be hoping he can keep hold of the midfielder, though, after he played a part in another success which came courtesy of Lauri Dalla Valle's 44th minute strike.
In League Two, Curtis Good made his first league appearance for Bradford as he appeared as a half-time substitute against Morecambe, and he helped the Bantams to keep a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw at the Globe Arena.
JJ Hooper netted his first goal for Workington, but couldn't prevent them from losing 2-1 at home to Harrogate Town. Hooper, who started the game, scored an equaliser on 51 minutes but the visitors won the game seven minutes from time. Teenage Newcastle keeper Jonathan Mitchell made his debut between the posts.
Meanwhile, Blyth Spartans named Michael Riley in the starting XI against North Ferriby but there was no place for Marcus Maddison as they slipped to a 3-2 defeat.
