Curtis Good made his senior debut in English football and helped Bradford earn an FA Cup second round replay at home to Brentford on Friday night.
The Australian defender, signed by Newcastle from Melbourne Heart last summer, joined the Bantams on loan until January last week and after recovering from a tight hamstring started against the Bees.
Clayton Donaldson gave the visitors - one league higher than the League Two hosts - a 43rd minute lead after a tackle by the Magpies man ricocheted to him but James Hanson struck 20 minutes from time to earn Good's side another bite at the cherry.
Good, who wore the number 27, played the full 90 minutes.
In the Northern League, Darlington's home game against Guisborough was postponed due to a frozen pitch although JJ Hooper - who can play for both the Quakers and Newcastle during his work experience loan period - would have been unavailable due to United's Barclays Under-21 Premier League fixture against Aston Villa on Sunday morning.
