Alan Pardew believes this weekend's opponents Swansea provide a great example to aspiring Premier League clubs

Alan Pardew believes Swansea provide a great example to aspiring Premier League clubs, and knows his Newcastle United side will have to be at their best when they face them this weekend.
The Swans come to St. James' Park for a traditional Saturday 3pm kick-off, with the sides currently separated by a single place and a single point in the middle of the top flight table.
And Pardew has been impressed by the South Wales outfit under the stewardship of new manager Michael Laudrup, with their free-flowing football earning plenty of admirers and points.
"There's a few promoted clubs who have done very well coming into the Premier League and Swansea are one of those," said the Magpies' boss.
"They are a well-run club with basic principles and a vision that they want to stick to. That is important for a football club.
"The new manager has taken over from Brendan (Rodgers) and added a couple of real quality players, so they are a real problem team.
"Swansea will come and play a different style of football (to West Ham last weekend) but equally will be looking to cause us problems.
"So we need to find a solution and that is what we will search for on Saturday.
"They are playing well and have signed well, especially the two or three Spanish guys who Michael knew from over there."
