In-form Mehdi Abeid will be aiming to score for the third game in succession against Manchester United's under-21 side at Whitley Park tonight (kick-off 7pm).
The midfielder didn't travel for the second-string's last fixture, where they lost at Tottenham, but scored against Aston Villa and Southampton in his previous two outings for Willie Donachie and Peter Beardsley's side.
And he's in the starting XI against the Red Devils with Newcastle looking to go top of the Barclays Premier Reserve League National Group Two with a victory against a side including Portuguese winger Bebe, striker Federico Macheda and youngsters Ryan Tunnicliffe and Scott Wootton, who all have first-team experience with Sir Alex Ferguson.
Abeid will partner Romain Amalfitano midfield with Bradden Inman also expected to play in the middle. Xisco will be the main striker with JJ Hooper and Marcus Maddison either side of him.
Jak Alnwick starts in goal with Conor Newton at right-back, Yven Moyo on the left and James Tavernier and Lubo Satka in central defence.
Fifteen-year-old goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is on the bench along with defenders Alex Kitchen and Michael Riley and midfielders Brandon Miele and Dennis Knight.
There will be full coverage of the match on nufc.co.uk throughout the evening.
