Loan Watch: No Perfect Ten For Paul

Written by Newcastle Utd

On-loan Paul Dummett made his tenth appearance for St. Mirren but the youngster was unable to mark it with a win

By Dan King - Newcastle United Club Reporter

Paul Dummett made his tenth appearance for St. Mirren on Saturday but the Buddies were beaten 4-1 at home by Aberdeen.

It was a fifth league defeat in a row for the Paisley side, who had beaten the Dons in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup last month but remain second bottom of the Scottish Premier League.

Dummett played the full 90 minutes once again but St. Mirren trailed 2-0 at half-time and conceded twice more in the second half, meaning Steven Thompson's late goal was a mere consolation.

However, although the scoreline suggests Danny Lennon's side were well beaten, the Saints had plenty of possession and created several chances and Dummett - who was voted as the man of the match in their previous two home games - put in another good personal display.
