A host of United stars and manager Alan Pardew attended Newcastle United Foundation's first ever charity screening of the new James Bond film, Skyfall

More than 260 guests attended Newcastle United Foundation's first ever charity film screening of the new James Bond film 'Skyfall' on Monday, 29th October at the Tyneside Cinema.

The red carpet event proved to be a very special night with Alan Pardew, John Carver, Steve Stone, Andy Woodman, Jonas Gutierrez, Ryan Taylor, Steven Taylor and Tim Krul all in attendance.

United manager Alan Pardew said: "We're delighted to support the work of our Foundation by coming along tonight. It was a very enjoyable film and I like Daniel Craig as James Bond.

"I have to say though that Sean Connery is my favourite Bond, and probably Goldfinger my favourite film - classic Bond action."

Technip, a project management, engineering and construction company for the energy industry showed its support for Newcastle United Foundation by sponsoring the event which aims to raise over £5,000 for disadvantaged children across the North-East.

Emma Maddison, Communications and Marketing Officer at Technip said: "Technip Umbilical Systems were proud to support the Newcastle United Foundation at this special event and it turned out to be a fantastic evening."

Sarah Medcalf, Fundraising Manager said, "Our aim this season is to reach even more disadvantaged children and young people in the North-East and those attending this Foundation event will help us achieve this."
