Alan Pardew wants to see the Sports Direct Arena "rocking" on Sunday afternoon, as Manchester United come to town.
Newcastle's home record since Pardew's arrival in December 2010 is as good as any, with only four defeats on their own turf in all competitions.
A large part of that success - which helped the Magpies achieve a fifth-placed Premier League finish last term - has been down to the fantastic backing by the Club's supporters.
And the manager has called for more of the same in a near sold-out stadium this weekend.
"It's always great to see Manchester United come to our stadium and I'm hoping this place is rocking on Sunday," explained Pardew.
"The fans played a massive part against Bordeaux on Thursday and we have now set the Manchester United game up - we have to make sure we put in a performance that follows that.
"When the stadium is like that it is difficult for any team, and our stadium will be rocking and rolling."
In this fixture last season, Newcastle comprehensively saw off the Red Devils' challenge with a stunning 3-0 victory that will live long in the memory.
But for the boss, that result has been consigned to the history books and all focus is on repeating the feat this time around.
"It was probably the stand-out result from our season, and we were very proud of that," he said of the Tyneside triumph.
"But that is history and it's gone now.
"So it's about this game and we are in good shape."
