Antonio Mateu Lahoz will referee Newcastle United's Europa League Group D home fixture against Bordeaux on Thursday (8.05pm kick-off).
The Spaniard takes charge at the Sports Direct Arena as the Magpies look to build on the goalless draw they played out at Maritimo almost a fortnight ago.
Lahoz, aged 35, has overseen nine games so far this season, handing out 36 yellow cards, three red cards and awarding two penalties. That includes the second leg of the Supercopa final between Real Madrid and Barcelona at the end of August.
On Thursday, Lahoz will be assisted by Pau Cebrian Devis and Jon Nunez Fernandez, with David Fernandez Borbalan and Carlos Del Cerro Grande the additional assistant referees behind each goal.
Raul Cabanero Martinez will be the game's fourth official.
