Capital One Cup Cheer For Cheick And Colo

Alan Pardew has revealed that both Fabricio Coloccini and Cheick Tiote could feature at Manchester United in the Captial One Cup

Alan Pardew has revealed that both Fabricio Coloccini and Cheick Tiote could feature at Manchester United in the Captial One Cup on Wednesday night.

United travel to Old Trafford for the third round tie (7.45pm kick-off), with Pardew expecting to make changes from the side that triumphed 1-0 over Norwich at the weekend.

Tiote was a late introduction from the substitutes' bench against the Canaries, having recovered from a knee injury, while Coloccini has missed United's last three games in all competitions with a hamstring complaint.

And the boss is expecting to be boosted by their return - with both possibly starting the cup tie.

"Cheick has trained this morning and is raring to go, as he showed when he came on on Sunday," said Pardew.

"He is a fantastic player, one of our most important players, and we need to get him back in the team as quickly as possible. I think he will play on Wednesday.

"We've kind of kept (Coloccini) under the radar.

"He's been working abroad and it seems to have worked in our favour, because he's come back and feels terrific. There's a good chance that he will get some minutes on Wednesday."
