Dave Watson leads his Newcastle United youngsters into battle for the first Tyne-Wear derby of the season on Saturday, with the Magpies still on a high following their last-gasp win against Stoke two weeks ago.
With no game last week, the 1-0 win against the Potters - courtesy of Daniel Barlaser's 89th minute goal - remains fresh in the minds of the under-18s as they travel to the Academy of Light for an 11am kick-off.
That was a first victory of the campaign for last season's Premier Academy League Group D champions, who beat Sunderland 4-0 at home last term before fighting back from 2-0 down with ten men on Wearside.
Watson welcomes influential midfielder Liam Smith back from injury and includes 15-year-old Adam Armstrong after he made his Reserve team debut at Berwick last week.
Alex Gilliead, Ryan McKinnon and Jonathan Mitchell are involved despite being part of the second-string squad against Southampton on Friday night.
And Macaulay Gillesphey is in line to make his first appearance of the campaign while Jamie Sterry continues his comeback from injury problems.
The squad is: Jonathan Mitchell, Freddie Woodman, Liam Smith, Jonathyn Quinn, Greg Olley, Ryan McKinnon, James Morgan, Macaulay Gillesphey, Esteban Cardona Lopez, Alex Gilliead, Jamie Sterry, Kyle Cameron, Adam Armstrong, Ben Drennan, Jordan Storey, Daniel Barlaser
