Mike Jones will referee Newcastle United's Premier League fixture at Everton on Monday evening (8pm kick-off).
The Cheshire-based official took charge of two Magpies matches last season, overseen the 1-1 draw away at Manchester United in November, and the 2-0 home victory over Bolton on Easter Monday.
So far this term, Jones has been appointed to three games in the Premier League and Championship, issuing seven yellow cards and no reds.
Jones, aged 44, was promoted to the Football League list of referees in 1997 and went on to take charge of the League Two play-off final and FA Trophy in 2007, before moving into the Select Group which officiates in the top flight.
In May 2012, he was the fourth official for referee Phil Dowd at the FA Cup Final between Chelsea and Liverpool.
On Monday at Goodison Park, Jones will be assisted by Darren Cann and Ceri Richards, with Andre Marriner the game's fourth official.
