The draw for the third round of the Capital One Cup - the new name for the League Cup - takes place on Thursday evening.

And that's the stage that Newcastle United enter the competition, along with the other six Barclays Premier League outfits in Europe this season.

The winners of the 25 second round ties will also go into the draw, which will be televised on Sky Sports after the Northampton v Wolves fixture which kicks off at 7.45pm.

That means the Magpies will be paired against one of the following sides:
