Slovakian defender Lubo Satka helped his country's under-18 side keep another clean sheet as they finished third in the Memoriál Václava Ježka Tournament in the Czech Republic.
Having beaten Ukraine 1-0 on Wednesday and lost by the same scoreline to Hungary a day later, Slovakia faced Turkey in the third/fourth place play-off match on Saturday morning.
And with United's 16-year-old centre-back once again marshalling his side's defence, the match finished 0-0 and went to a penalty shoot-out.
Satka stepped up to score from 12 yards as Slovaka won on spot-kicks, and will now return to Tyneside full of confidence after his international experience.
The first-year scholar joined Newcastle from Dubnica at the end of last season and has already played for the Reserves in the Citibank Hong Kong Football Club International Soccer Sevens tournament and on the opening day of the current Barclays Under-21 Premier League season against Tottenham.
