Alan Pardew is relishing a "new adventure", as Newcastle United prepare for their Europa League fourth qualifying round first leg tie away at Atromitos.
The boss, who has previously managed Reading, West Ham United and Southampton, had a brief flirtation in the old UEFA Cup with the Hammers back in 2006, but will be hoping to go much further this time around.
But it is a fresh experience for him as Magpies supremo - having guided them to a fifth-placed Premier League finish last term - and one he cannot wait to get going with.
Newcastle now face a two-legged fixture against Greek Super League outfit Atromitos in order to qualify for the competition proper, and Pardew admits he needs to be spot on with his choice of players.
"We are really looking forward to it," said the manager.
"It's a new adventure for us. We've got a win (against Tottenham on Saturday), so that's going to buoy us, and I've got to hope that I get the selection right.
"We need to win that game, and we've got to have a team that is going to win. But we're going to use everybody - we're going to have to, because we've got Chelsea two days later.
"Our application and attitude must be spot on. It was against Tottenham and that is why we got the win."
