Newcastle United's under-18s host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (kick-off 12 noon) in their opening game of the Premier Academy League season.
And Dave Watson's youngsters have warmed up for the big kick-off in some style having been unbeaten in pre-season friendlies with their only defeat of the summer coming against Desportivo Brazil in the final of the Milk Cup.
The performances of Adam Campbell - named player of the tournament in Northern Ireland - and Lubo Satka have seen them involved for the Reserves, who also take on Spurs on Saturday.
But Watson welcomes defender James Atkinson back from an England under-16 training camp while goalkeeper Freddie Woodman is fresh from helping his country's under-17s reach the final of the Nordic Tournament in the Faroe Islands last week.
It has been a proud week for the Tottenham Academy after Jake Livermore made his full international debut on Wednesday night while Steven Caulker was also called into Roy Hodgson's Three Lions squad. United, however, will be looking to bring them back down to earth with a bump.
The squad is: Aidan Grant, Steven Logan, Lee Desmond, Freddie Woodman, Liam Smith, Jonathyn Quinn, Greg Olley, Ryan McKinnon, James Morgan, Esteban Cardona Lopez, Alex Gilliead, James Atkinson, Kyle Cameron, Ben Drennan, Daniel Barlaser.
