More than 300 guests packed into the Bamburgh Suite at the Sports Direct Arena on Monday for a talk-in with Alan Pardew, which raised £7,000 for Newcastle United Foundation.

An Evening with Alan Pardew saw the manager speak openly and honestly to supporters about all aspects of the club. John Carver, who had also been due to sit on the top table, was unable to attend because of a family bereavement but the night was still a huge success.

BBC Newcastle's Mick Lowes was host for the evening and quizzed the boss on his plans for the season ahead, getting his views on pre season and looking back at an eventful last season.

In the second half, guests put their own questions to Pardew while he also posed for photographs with fans.

All the proceeds raised will go to the Club's official charity, which works with 37,000 youngsters and families every year to encourage learning and healthy lifestyles by using their passion for football.
