PUMA unveiled the new Newcastle United home kit for the 2012/2013 season at the Sports Direct Arena on Thursday and it certainly proved a big hit with supporters.

In keeping with PUMA's position as the leading sportslifestyle company and the club's top five finish last season, the new kit marks the third year of the partnership between the two parties.

The new home shirts feature the iconic club colours, black and white, in a striking and classic design. PUMA's innovation again delivers the team with one of the most technologically advanced kits to enable them to perform to their peak on the pitch.

The launch also marked the club becoming one of the first Premier League clubs to use FANCAM, which will be used during the first fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on 18th August. The FANCAM is a 20,000 megapixel image that is taken of the crowd at the live event. 24-hours after the event, fans will be able to find themselves in the FANCAM and share that with their friends and family via Twitter, Facebook and email.

PUMA currently partners with several International football federations including Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Uruguay, Chiles, South Africa, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Algeria. The sportlifestyle brand also has a strong player portfolio in football that includes Gigi Buffon, Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry.
