United skipper Fabricio Coloccini will start his first game of pre-season, as the Magpies face Fenerbahce tonight in Austria (7.30pm kick-off local time).

The sides meet at the Sonnenseestadion - home of SC Ritzing - in a friendly, and Coloccini will lead a strong Newcastle starting line-up.

In a change of formation from their previous two fixtures of this tour, striker Demba Ba will lead the line on his own, and will be supported by wingers Gabriel Obertan and Romain Amalfitano.

Cheick Tiote, Dan Gosling and Haris Vuckic will form a midfield trio, with the latter given licence to get forward and support Ba.

Alongside Coloccini at the back is Danny Simpson, youngster James Tavernier and Ryan Taylor, with Rob Elliot behind them in goal for his second start of the tour.
