It won't come as much of a surprise, but Papiss Cisse's wonder strike away at Chelsea clinched our Goal of the Season award for the 2011/12 campaign.
Cisse hit both goals in a memorable victory at Stamford Bridge at the beginning of May, and while his first was special, the second was out of this world.
Receiving a knock-down from Shola Ameobi way out towards the left-touchline, Cisse proceeded to fire a first-time effort with the outside of his right boot over the head of the helpless Chelsea keeper Petr Cech (Goal 11).
The Senegalese goal machine had a few of his other net-busters in the running for a top three spot in what was an amazing season for truly special goals.
Be it Ryan Taylor's Tyne-Wear derby free-kick against Sunderland, Leon Best's impressive turn and finish at home to Queens Park Rangers, or Demba Ba's hooked volley which set us on the way to a famous win over Manchester United, they are all there.
But our panel of experts concluded that a couple of Hatem Ben Arfa efforts were worthy of second and third place in the honours list. In January, the French forward turned Blackburn's defence inside out before slamming the ball home in the FA Cup tie (Goal 5), and in April Ben Arfa produced another moment of individual brilliance against Bolton (Goal 9).
Collecting the ball deep inside his own half, a clever turn worked him some space and the fans' favourite then drove towards the penalty area, jinking past challenge after challenge before slipping the ball past Adam Bogdan at the Gallowgate End.
You voted in your hundreds, selecting a top three which would match our panel's choice, and the winning fan picked at random is Jess Guthrie. Jess wins a Newcastle United away shirt - congratulations!
And here we are giving you another chance to re-live those magical goals from last season.
