United star Papiss Cisse was on target for Senegal as they played out a 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw with Uganda on Saturday.
The striker found the back of the net in the 37th minute in Kampala to give the Lions of Teranga a deserved lead, but Uganda hit back with three minutes remaining to grab a share of the spoils.
Senegal currently top Group J after picking up four points from their opening two games.
In Group C, Cheick Tiote's Ivory Coast were also forced to settle for a point, recording a 2-2 draw away in Morocco.
Former Chelsea front man Salomon Kalou and Manchester City defender Kolo Toure scored for the visitors, sandwiched either side of a Houcine Kharja penalty - awarded for handball against Magpies midfielder Tiote.
And deep into stoppage time, Hamza Abourrouzouk bagged an equaliser leveller for Morocco with a close range header.
