Magpies pair Yohan Cabaye and Hatem Ben Arfa have been named in France's 23-man squad for the 2012 European Championships.

Laurent Blanc submitted his final line-up for the tournament on Tuesday and included both of the Newcastle United players for the trip to Poland and Ukraine.

Ben Arfa's international ambitions were boosted by a fine second half of last season, with the 25-year-old gatecrashing the party and winning his first cap since August 2010 as France beat Iceland 3-2 on Sunday.

His strong display in that game guaranteed his place alongside Cabaye, who has been a regular starter for Les Bleus ever since his arrival on Tyneside last summer.

Cabaye has 11 caps for his country and last season made 41 appearances for United in all competitions, scoring five times.

Ben Arfa played 30 times for the Magpies last term, scoring six goals, and has scored twice in nine outings for France.
