He has the face of an angel, but Newcastle's Shane Ferguson saw red as Northern Ireland lost 1-0 in a UEFA European Under-21 Championships qualifier in Macedonia on Thursday evening.
Winning his 11th under-21 cap, the Derry-born left-footer - who also has two full caps - started in Kumanovo. But he didn't finish the game as he was sent off following an off-the-ball incident with two minutes remaining on a rainy night.
By then, the Greens were behind to an 82nd minute penalty from Yani Urdinov after Illija Nestoroski had already blazed over from the spot in the second half.
But Ferguson's dismissal for a straight red shown by Georgian referee Davit Kharitonashvili made it a disappointing first match in charge for Stephen Robinson.
