Newcastle under-18s celebrate a goal against Watford

Newcastle United's under-18 side can seal the Premier Academy League Group D title with a win over Barnsley on Tuesday (kick-off 12 noon).

Dave Watson's side are two points clear of second-placed Leeds, who have one game left to play, meaning a victory at Little Benton will be enough for United to clinch the trophy with a match to spare.

The Magpies beat Liverpool 3-2 with a last minute Brandon Miele goal on Saturday to keep them in pole position despite Leeds' 1-0 win at Everton.

Miele is in the squad to face the Tykes while Ryan McGorrigan and Marcus Maddison, who were also on target, are included as well.

United welcome back Dennis Knight, JJ Hooper, Alex Baird and Will Turton, who have all been recent absentees, while Alex Nicholson, Dan Taylor, Steven Logan and Alex Kitchen all featured in Monday's 2-1 Reserve win at Liverpool.

The match is open to the public and admission at Newcastle's Academy is free.

The squad is: Ryan McGorrigan, Dan Taylor, Michael Hoganson, Dennis Knight, Marcus Maddison, Brandon Miele, Alex Nicholson, Ben Sayer, Alex Baird, Alex Kitchen, Steven Logan, Jonathan Mitchell, Will Turton, JJ Hooper, Alex Gilliead.
