Goalkeeper Ole Soderberg has completed a move from Newcastle United to reigning Norwegian champions Molde FK.

The Sweden under-21 international has signed a permanent deal with the Tippeligaen outfit, who are managed by former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, after more than four years on Tyneside.

He joined from BK Hacken in January 2008 and although he failed to make a first-team appearance for the Magpies, he was on the bench in the Barclays Premier League 15 times last season and once this term, while he was also the unused back-up keeper in several cup games.

Soderberg, 21, joined Darlington on loan earlier this season for a month before heading to Chesterfield on a temporary basis.
