Jonas Gutierrez believes Newcastle can go to West Bromwich Albion and win in Sunday's televised game at the Hawthorns - but has warned that they must stay focused for the entire 90 minutes.
When the two sides met at the Sports Direct Arena in December, Alan Pardew's side twice battled back from behind only to undo their hard work by allowing Paul Scharner to steal in and win the game for the Baggies four minutes from time.
And United's Argentine winger - who performed admirably in an unfamiliar left-back role during last weekend's 1-0 win over Norwich - insists there can be no repeat of such lapses if the Magpies are to gain a good result against Roy Hodgson's men, who are currently 13th in the Barclays Premier League.
"It's always difficult away from home, but even more so in this league," Gutierrez told nufc.co.uk ahead of the weekend's big match in the Black Country.
"We'll have to be focused and concentrate for the 90 minutes.
"We know that we can score and that we can get a clean sheet as well, because all the team is defending really well in the last couple of weeks.
"But we'll have to be focused and not make mistakes because in this league if you make a mistake, you concede a goal.
"So we have to make sure that we don't make them."
